Today, 17th November, marks a major milestone in our collective drive to strengthen Primary Health Care across the country.
The President of the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), Dr. Terfa Kene, led a delegation to the Honourable Minister of Health in Abuja as part of a documentary project celebrating the remarkable life and legacy of Prof. Clara Ejembi of ABU, ahead of her 70th birthday.
After paying glowing tribute to Prof. Ejembi’s exceptional contributions to humanity, the Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, graciously adopted the ECWA Comprehensive Health Centre, Kagoro (Kaura LGA).
This PHC will undergo full refurbishment—complete with solar installation and critical infrastructure upgrades—in honour of Prof. Clara Ejembi’s impactful career and upcoming milestone celebration.
APHPN extends heartfelt appreciation to the Minister for his unwavering support and commitment to revitalizing PHCs nationwide through the PHC Adoption Initiative.
— Dr. Augustine Ajogwu
Secretary General, APHPN
