APHPN PRESIDENT, DR.TERFA KENE ATTENDED THE INCEPTION MEETING FOR THE US DEPARTMENT OF STATE-UNICEF MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH (MCH) UMBRELLA GRANT IN ABUJA.

The National President APHPN join the Mandate Secretary for Health and Environment, Dr. Adedolapo Fasawe; the Executive Secretary, FCT Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Dan Gadzama; the APHPN Innovative President, Dr. Terfa Kene; APHPN FCT-Abuja Branch Chairman, Dr. Sabastine Esomonu; and as APHPN FCT-Abuja Branch Secretary, at the inception meeting for the US Department of State–UNICEF Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Umbrella Grant.

The meeting, held on 25 June 2026, marked the beginning of an important initiative focused on preventing malnutrition during the first 1,000 days of life in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) a critical period that shapes lifelong health, growth, and development. We look forward to collaborating with partners and stakeholders to improve maternal and child nutrition, strengthen primary health care, and deliver sustainable health outcomes for families across the FCT.
