APHPN President Dr. Terfa Kene Visit Kogi State

The President of the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), Dr. Terfa Kene, commenced a 3-day presidential working visit to Kogi State on 8th June 2026, aimed at strengthening collaboration, advancing public health initiatives, and engaging key stakeholders in the state’s health sector.

As part of the visit, Dr.Terfa Kene paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Kogi State, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adieza, where discussions focused on strengthening primary healthcare, PHC Adoption, health systems development, and improving health outcomes for the people of Kogi State.

The President Dr. Terfa Kene was accompanied by a distinguished team including:

Dr. Zakari Usman, Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor on Health Systems Strengthening and Primary Healthcare

During the visit, Dr. Terfa Kene also met with the immediate past Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Zakari Usman, and the Executive Secretary of KOSACA, Dr. Monday Ajodo, as part of efforts to foster stronger partnerships for public health advancement in the state.
