As we should recall, the Esteemed President of the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), Dr Terfa Kene paid a working visit to Bayelsa State where he undertook several advocacy visits and was part of a rural Public health outreach at Sagbama.
Not fatigued from all the activities, he was in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, today, Monday 24th November 2025, for courtesy calls and advocacy visits.
Top on his list of courtesy calls was a visit to the Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), Dr Vetty Agala and participation in a consultative workshop for reviewing and updating the RIVCHPP Health Benefit Package.
RIVCHPP, as the agency for managing Social Health Insurance in Rivers State, was praised by Mr. President for laudable achievements in providing risk protection and access to quality health care delivery in the state.
Vice President 1, Prof Omosivie Maduka, who was the lead facilitator at the workshop, joined the President, the Executive Secretary, other Public Health Physicians, and workshop participants in a group photograph.
We wish Mr. President safe travels as he returns to the Federal Capital Territory.
Omosivie Maduka
Vice President 1
