COURTESY VISIT

On 27th October 2025, the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), ably led by its National President, Dr. Terfa Kene, paid a courtesy visit to the Clerk of the Senate, National Assembly, Dr. Emmanuel Odo, PhD, at his office in the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

The visit was to congratulate Dr. Odo on his recent appointment as Clerk of the National Assembly and to engage in discussions on public health issues in Nigeria — particularly the Association’s drive towards revitalizing Primary Health Care (PHC) through the PHC Adoption Initiative.

It also served as an opportunity to explore collaboration between APHPN and the National Assembly Management, aimed at supporting the Health Committees in reshaping and strengthening health-related bills.

In his response, Dr. Odo expressed appreciation for the visit and assured APHPN of his commitment to continuous engagement on health matters, especially regarding health legislation before the Senate.
